Make a difference, connect and have fun while helping to protect a stream. Join Context graduates, family, friends and the Adopt-A-Stream Foundation in building a split rail fence to protect a newly rehabilitated area along a creek that supports our local fish population.
Learn how a fence goes up: there will be some hole drilling with power auger, but mostly assembling precut and notched cedar split rails. Easy work for most volunteers and a role for all who want to participate. Adopt-A-Stream provides all materials. Volunteers come prepared for any weather (dress in layers, the event happens rain or shine). Make a picnic of it by bringing water and a lunch. Many "work parties" choose to unwind together after for a well-deserved happy hour at a local restaurant.
